Review of Winterton 2022 Plan for 2016-17

We’ve done a review of the plan that sets out all the things we hoped to do over the last 12 months.  The highlights include:

  • The new mural on Market Street, which has been largely well received
  • The apprentice scheme – eight apprentices have had support so far in the town
  • The work we’ve been supporting with residents of Grangefield, who have run community bingo, trips and events
  • Our partnership with the North Lincolnshire Credit Union, which has seen new members recruited, many of whom are in the schools
  • Identifying four seven sites and over 30 volunteers for the Incredible Edible project which we will launch in Spring 2017
  • An online list of Winterton Businesses
  • A successful partnership with the Town Council and North Lincolnshire Council which has allowed a mini-bus to be made available for community use at very low cost
  • Small Grants made to a number of projects including Intergenerational IT training, Kickboxing, Trampolining, the Lunch and Linger Club and the local Brownies.
  • Promotion of walking and cycling routes online

A new plan for the next two years is currently being finalised – watch this space!  2022 are always on the look-out for more Winterton Residents to join the group to have their say and get involved.  If you’d like more information, just email Chris Ellerby, our coordinator – chris.ellerby@vanl.org.uk and we’ll be in touch.
