Can you help make a difference in WINTERTON?

Winterton 2022, the Big Local Partnership for Winterton, is looking to employ a
Part-time Communications & Events Officer for 10 hours per week to help
deliver its Big Local Plan.

Big Local is a resident led, ten-year programme that will achieve lasting change in 150
areas around England. It provides a mixture of funding, finance and support. This will enable
local people to build on local talents and aspirations and identify and act on their own needs
to make their areas better places to live, now and in the future.

The role is to assist the Winterton 2022 Coordinator in promoting and implementing the
work of the Winterton 2022 Big Local Plan through communications and events coordination
activities. The communications and events officer has a key role to play in planning and
delivering communications and events to key groups, such as stakeholders, the local
community, funders and staff/volunteers.

The successful applicant will have had experience of working with and
developing content for websites and social media, have experience in developing marketing
materials, and the ability to organise and manage events. He/she will be self-motivated and
able to work to deadlines. He/she will have the ability to work with a wide range of people
from different backgrounds, as well as members of the public. The successful candidate
must also have excellent written English and copywriting skills.

The salary for 10 hours per week will be £5,863. (Full time equivalent is £21,693 –
NJC Scale 23) The post will be based at VANL’s offices in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire.
